Our mission is not what you might expect. 

We want to get you out of school more than we want to get you in.

To be clear, finding and getting into the right college, university, or tech school is vital to your long term financial success. But it’s not as hard as you might think. The average college acceptance rate in the United States is 70%, and most tech schools are even higher. If you want to go, you can get in, and there are a lot of great schools.

"Currently, only 42% of US adults have earned any type of college degree, while the US high school graduation rate is 88%."

As it turns out, the much harder part is graduating. At the national average, after 6 years of effort, only 59% of undergraduates have earned their bachelor’s degree. That means roughly 4 in 10 people who start college will never finish, and most of those will leave with significant, sometimes crippling, debt.

The other fundamental part of this graduation problem is its profound inequality.  Despite the best of intentions at schools and non-profits across the country, the data show clearly that people at the low end of the socioeconomic ladder, most minorities, and people who are the first in their families to go to college, graduate far less than their wealthier white classmates and with far more debt. This has to change.
